As a forlorn Phillies fan, I’ve been following the AL races just because they’re so much better [even if the NL Wild Card race was more wide open] and I feel like this is the year the A’s do it.

If the Twins have to lose to someone in the first round, I’d like it to be the A’s — mostly because I want to see what Frank Thomas can do in the World Series. And as a Twins fan, watching their scrappy hustle/defense/pitching play is a lot like that moment that always shows up in one of those cop-chasing-a-serial-killer movies (“you and I are a lot alike, Hannigan…”)
